discovering NC Wine Country!

Who knew that there was such a thing? But there is, and it is fabulous. There are 5 vineyards that are a part of "Swan Creek Vineyards" that are all within about 5 miles of one another. Each one is unique, but they all share atleast 2 things in common- Wine and Southern Hospitality!
Despite all the snow we got in Charlotte; we were still able to make a trip to NC Wine Country! snow in Charlotte!

We made it out on the roads and up to Yadkinville, NC where we started at the Laurel Gray Vineyards. A small family owned vineyard with southern charm! There was a weekend event going on for Valentine's, so 5 different vineyards were offering free wine tastings and chocolate! yummm. I'm in!

Our next stop was Shadow Springs Vineyards. It was much larger and the wine tasting took place in a large room with a beautiful wrap around wooden bar.
They even had an "adopt your own vine" program; which I thought was so cute!

The last stop on our vineyards tour, was by far my favorite! It was called Raffaldini Vineyards. the tasting room overlooked the Blue Ridge Mountains and they had lots of outdoor seating by the vineyards- so this would be the perfect place to visit in the Spring

For dinner we went to a cute little country restaurant. Which was really our only choice! But look who we saw....his name is "Jimmy Johnson" and not the NASCAR driver; but apparently he's a famous Elvis impersonator. And the women were loving him! I die.

Our last stop was the home of the "Andy Griffith Show", Mayberry, NC. Also known as Mt. Airy. It was only about 10 minutes away from where we were...so it was a neccesary stop on the roadtrip! How cute is this little town? Not saying I could ever live here or anything; but it was super cute.
